INSPEM acquired the HPC server through a contribution worth of EURO150,000 (RM740,000) from TEIN*CC via a collaborative research project with the Korea Institute for Science and Technology Information (KISTI), South Korea, under the Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) Asia Pacific Research Platform (APRP) Working Group (WG).
It is composed of one master node and three compute nodes running on Ubuntu Linux with a total of 96 processor cores (512GB Memory), two Nvidia GPUs, and is efficiently coupled with a disk storage system of 7TB in capacity.
INSPEM HPC aims to provide high computing resources to the academic and research community at University Putra Malaysia (UPM) to support advanced research activities.
